Troop 1021's first recruiting event was held during Sixth Grade Orientation Night in Kingsborough Middle School. Present were Mr. Tripp, Mr. Hugh, and Cimarron District Executive Pilar Colon. Five boys were recruited that night to join the four that already committed though Iglesia Mas Que Vencedores (a local church. The Troop had nine boys enlisted prior to its first meeting. They were: Austin, Hugo, Arnold, Nicholas, Christian, Aiden, Angel, Miguel and Miquel's little brother (name unknown).
