SUMMER CAMP 2017

This year, Troop 1021 will be attending summer camp at Camp Constantin, located on beautiful Lake Possum Kingdom, approximately 30 miles west of Mineral Wells, Texas, or a 285 mile drive north of San Antonio. (Click here for our expected driving route.) Camp Constantin is known for having one of the nicest and most complete BSA waterfront programs in Texas, and the nicest dining hall in all of Scouting!

WHEN:  June 11-17, 2017. We will meet at the HPLC parking lot at 5:30am and depart promptly at 6:00am.

COST:  $270 per Scout plus any additional course fees and optional spending money

Parent's Summer Camp Preparation  Checklist

  • Review the Summer Camp Leader's Guide at least three weeks prior to summer camp. Please see link directly above.

  • Review the Summer Camp Equipment checklist located under the"Resources" tab of this website.

  • Familiarize yourself with the "Policies" page on this website

  • Obtain a Summer Camp physical for your son. Existing non-BSA physicals on non-BSA forms WILL NOT be accepted. Summer camp physical and health forms are to be turned in to the Troop no later than May 31. Click here to print the BSA Health Form, Parts A, B and C.

  • Pay all fees due no later than May 31.

  • Attend the mandatory pre-summer camp weekly Troop meetings on May 31 June 7.

  • Ensure your son has completed packing no later than three days before our departure (June 8).

  • With your son, review the summer camp equipment list to make sure they have everything no later two days before departure (June 9). This list can be found under the "Resources" tab of this website.

  • Please arrive at the HPLC parking lot no later than 5:30am, June 11. Make sure your son has eaten breakfast, has a sack lunch and/or money for a McDonald's stop and is in full uniform. We will depart at 6:00am.

  • Please be on time to pick up your son at the HPLC parking lot on June 17. We will text each parent with an estimated arrival time prior to arrival. We expect to return no later than 5:00pm.
